Your own AI

Connect your AI assistant

Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and any other app that takes an MCP server can work on your projects with Sakura's tools.

MCP (the Model Context Protocol) is how an AI app uses another service's tools. Cherry Blossom's MCP server gives your assistant the tools Sakura designs with, and it works on every plan, Free included: the tools run on Cherry Blossom and the model on your own subscription, so it spends none of your AI credits.

Server URL

https://www.trycherryblossom.com/api/mcp

Add it to your assistant, which then opens Cherry Blossom's sign-in: sign in and allow it. There is no API key to make or paste.

Claude

On claude.ai or in the desktop app: Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector. Name it Cherry Blossom, paste the URL, then Connect.

ChatGPT

Settings, Apps & Connectors, Advanced settings: turn on Developer mode. Then Create, paste the URL and choose OAuth.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http cherryblossom https://www.trycherryblossom.com/api/mcp

Then run /mcp in Claude Code to sign in. The server is added to the current project; add --scope user to have it in every project.

Codex

codex mcp add cherryblossom --url https://www.trycherryblossom.com/api/mcp

Codex opens the sign-in in your browser. If it doesn't, run codex mcp login cherryblossom.

Cursor

Add it to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, then sign in from Cursor's MCP settings.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "cherryblossom": {
      "url": "https://www.trycherryblossom.com/api/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Any other client

Add the URL as a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP) with OAuth sign-in.

What it can do

Everything Sakura does: list and create projects, build and wire schematics, make parts from supplier data, lay out and route the board, pour copper and run checks, on your projects and the ones shared with you to edit. Try “Make a new Cherry Blossom project for a 555 LED blinker”.

Each edit is saved at once and shows live in any editor tab that has the project open, as a collaborator's would.

Good to know

  • Its edits aren't on your undo stack. To go back, open the project's version history.
  • While it places or routes the board, or tidies the whole schematic, it holds the project as Sakura does: anyone with it open sees that your AI assistant is at work, and can't start one of those until it is done. It has no face or cursor in the editor.
  • Tool calls have a limit of their own, the same on every plan. Part lookups count against your account's lookups, as they do in the editor.
  • To disconnect, remove Cherry Blossom from your assistant's connectors.
